The White House announced today that President Obama is signing the Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act in law allowing consumers to unlock cell phones from their carriers at the end of a contract. The legislation allowing consumers to legally unlock a cell phone first passed the Senate on July 16th, then received approval again from the House of Representatives on July 25th before moving to the President’s desk today....

Sony is reducing the price of its streaming game subscription service, PlayStation Now, effective immediately for all new and existing subscribers. The service was an early entry into this game streaming and subscription fields, and the price cut may be a reaction to the recent explosion of similar services - most at a price point around PS Now’s new price. The first real competitor to PS Now came in 2017 with Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, which gives subscribers access to a large library of games including some major titles, like Gears 5, which came to the service on release day....
PlayStation has announced today that its Vue Live TV streaming plans will see a $5 price increase effective immediately for new customers, with existing customers seeing the bump next month. Following the same path as other major Live TV streaming services like DirecTV and YouTube TV, PlayStation detailed in a blog post that it is raising the prices of all its Vue streaming plans by $5. What Is It? The game is deceptively simple: get marbles into a hole by adjusting a Rube Goldberg device. By changing one or two of the gadgets, the marbles go in the right place. At early levels, all you do is adjust a lever or a fan. Later in the game, figuring out where the marbles go isn’t that obvious.
