Smartwatch maker Pebble has announced a software event scheduled for 10 AM Pacific on November 6th. Pebble already has an SDK for developers, but they’ll be announcing some upcoming additions to the watch’s software capabilities. The event will stream live on the Pebble website for anyone to watch. Cash-hoarding Apple needs to distribute more to shareholders, instead of stuffing away the cash like a Depression-era grandmother who saves for a rainy day, according to Greenlight Capital founder David Einhorn during a CNBC interview on Thursday. Einhorn, who is also a prominent investor and fund manager, appeared on “Squawk Box” today to explain his decision to file suit against Apple over a proposal that would stamp out preferred stock. He essentially wants Apple to “unlock value” for shareholders and urges shareholders to oppose the company’s proxy, because Apple’s current behavior is allegedly reminiscent of someone who has suffered a trauma....
