Oppo maintains its position in India’s offline smartphone market by launching several smartphones in the budget to mid-segment. Recently in October, they released the Oppo A73. The phone was announced on the 5th of October, and it was available for purchase starting from the 20th of November. The device came out of the box with Android 10 and ColorOS 7.2 which is also ready to get an Android 11 stable update very soon.
In this post, we will give you a dedicated Oppo A73 software update tracker. From here, you will be able to keep your Oppo A73 smartphone up to date, with the latest available update for your phone. With that being said, let us get straight into the article itself:
Oppo A73 – Device Overview
The Oppo A73 comes with a 6.44 inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. This is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is not common for a mid-range budget from Oppo to have an AMOLED panel. So people looking for a phone with an AMOLED panel in a budget won’t be disappointed with the Oppo A73, but the screen only has a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz. Inside the device, we get the new mid-range processor from Qualcomm, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662. It is an octa-core processor built on an 11 nm manufacturing process. It has four Kryo 260 Gold cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and four Kryo 260 Silver cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.
We have a quad-camera setup at the rear and a single selfie camera housed in a waterdrop style notch. The rear setup has a 16MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, an 8MP ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Coming to the front, we get a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens.
We get two storage options on the Oppo A73: 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB. The choice is simple here. Depending on your RAM requirements, pick the one for yourself. Storage is not an issue as we get a dedicated slot for storage expansion via a MicroSD card. In terms of connectivity, we have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0. The phone battery is a 4015 mAh cell that supports 30W fast charging out of the box. The company claims a 50% charge in 30 min and a 100% charge in 53 min. It comes in color options: Navy Blue, Classic Silver.
