New Update on April 11, 2020: Amidst the Coronavirus crisis, Oppo decided to change the release date of ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 to a few of their devices. In which, Oppo released a new update plan where the Oppo Find X will be eligible to receive the stable ColorOS 7 on April 13.

Here is their new update plan where a bunch of Oppo phones is now scheduled to be upgraded to Android 10 under their ColorOS 7 stable version by April

The Oppo Find X has launched almost two years ago back in 2018 along with Android 8.1 Oreo and then upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie last year. Now, all the Oppo Find X users are waiting for the official Android 10 stable update on the top of ColorOS 7. If you’re one of them and eagerly waiting for the ColorOS 7 update, you can start your experience by tasting the early adopters’ program. Oppo has officially released third batch, early adopters, for Oppo Find X Android 10 Update with ColorOS 7.

Though the update timeline or schedule has been delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak mainly in China and some other regions, it seems that Oppo is now ready to provide the beta testing recruitment process and early beta updates to the eligible early birds. The Oppo Find X, Oppo Find X Lamborghini, Oppo Find X Super Flash Charger model users will be eligible to apply and receive the third batch of early adopters update.

ColorOS 7 based on Android 10

The ColorOS 7 is a customized skin based on Android 10 for the Oppo devices. There are plenty of changes or improvements made in this new software version. You will get a unique look, improved icons, better color scheme, new sound effect, better RAM management, offers faster app opening time, etc. Additionally, the new ColorOS 7 also features improved touch response timing while gaming, optimized Breeno smart voice assistant, dark mode, Portrait mode 2.0, Soloop video editor, focus mode, and more.

What’s on Android 10?

Android 10 (aka Android Q) was launched in September 2019 by Google which is the successor of the Android 9.0 Pie. It basically offers a bunch of new features and privacy improvements than its predecessor. Google has ditched the official alphabetical naming series for Android 10 this time which will be good enough for developers and users to remember the name of Android versions.

The Android 10 features Gestures Navigation control, System-wide Dark Mode, Wi-Fi & QR Code scanning, app sharing menu, improved app permissions, enhanced location privacy control, easy security updates, focus mode, live caption, family link, sound amplifier, better notification control, and more. It also offers 5G support, foldable support, improved lock screen, smart reply, etc.

Oppo Find X Android 10 Update Status

The ColorOS 7 early beta adopters program will start from March 7, 2020, at 10:00. All the Oppo Find X, Oppo Find X Lamborghini, Oppo Find X Super Flash Charger unit users can apply for the beta testing program from their handset. Make sure that the currently running software version will be C.24 or C.25 to get eligible for the update.

Around 13,000 Oppo Find X series users will be eligible to get the early beta OTA update within 3 days after successful recruitment. If in case, the beta testing quota is full, you may need to wait for the next batch of quotas.

Keep in mind that this will be the beta update and may contain some of the bugs or stability issues. If you want a fully optimized and stable bug-free user experience of ColorOS 7, then you’ll need to wait for the official stable update. While the interested beta testers can proceed via the phone Settings > Software Update > Tap on the settings (cog) icon in the upper right corner > Tap on Upgrade to early adopters > Tap on ColorOS 7 to limit early adopters.

Fill up the application > Check the early adopters and privacy policy > Tap on Apply Now.

Oppo Find X: Overview
