According to the words on the street, Oppo is working on a flagship device. A phone which goes by the model name Oppo PBCM00 appears on TENAA. The certification website from China also provides some interesting photos of the device. According to the rumors, it may be the Oppo R17. It shows a blue color back body.
Now the advice under speculation, Oppo R17 doesn’t reveal many details on hardware and software. From the images above you can see it has no fingerprint sensor on the back. It means we may get to see face unlock or in-display fingerprint. There is also a dual camera set-up on the rear end. Unfortunately, there is no info on that as of now. We expect the device is possibly a flagship, so it may run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
The TENAA documentation reveals a 6.3-inch display and 3,415 mAh battery on Oppo R17. There is another similar model with number PBCT00. Recently a mysterious Oppo smartphone under the name Oppo PBAM00 was spotted on GeekBench.
From the limited information we know of, the Oppo R17 will support dual SIM card. It will also bring network support for TD-LTE/LTE FDD/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA/cdma2000/CDMA 1X/GSM. We may learn more information about the device in the coming weeks.
