The four main stars of Pretty Little Liars each had their own styles and personalities, and Emily Fields was usually labelled the jock, the athlete and the tomboy of the group. While Spencer dressed in a preppy way, Hanna went for glam looks, and Aria was known for funky outfits, Emily had basic staples that did have sporty vibes.
Don’t get us wrong, though: These ensembles were never boring or drab! She mixed pieces and added in her own dose of attitude, for super cool and cute fashion moments. She also had signature looks that were very her, which she reworked and re-wore in such a great way. The 10 down below were her best ones ever.
Plaid Around The Waist
It was common to see this character tie a plaid shirt around her waist, which is a little bit grunge and totally cool. This time, though, she took it to the next level.
This appears to be a plaid short or skirt or skort with a matching plaid jacket on it, and Em rocked that print like no one else. She also wore this awesome denim jacket that had black leather sleeves (two more of her faves, which will be covered several more times down below). She wore it with a basic white tee and a black choker, as well (two more staples that will be seen again).
Denim Vest
As mentioned, she had several fun denim and leather pieces, such as this vest with the black collar. She was very into classic clothes with a twist, and she very often mixed materials like these.
Underneath, she went for a purple tank top and some long necklaces. Her hair was usually down like this, letting her natural waves do their thing, while also being ready to throw it all up into a ponytail, if and when necessary.
Denim With Colored Pants
This girl loved layers, and up next is another great example of this.
There is a graphic tee, a staple for Em (especially if it was made out of a really cozy material). There is a denim shirt, which is unbuttoned over the top and which is faded in a neat way. And then, there were these pants, in a sort of maroon or burgundy color, which added a bit of pop, yet still stayed within her dark and dramatic color scheme.
Leather Overalls
Overalls are trending again, and Emily had the best pair ever; there are shorts, there is leather, and there is another white T-shirt styled in such a fun way. Not everyone would be able to pull these off, but Em had a relaxed vibe, where she could throw on these easy pieces and look effortlessly stylish.
It makes sense that she ended up in California for some time, with her cool fashion sense.
Blue Jumpsuit
This character could go glam, too, though, and several occasions called for dressed-up outfits, like a bright blue jumpsuit and a blazer. While she did own and wear dresses, a one-piece pant option like this is so her. In fact, it is easy to imagine her hopping on her bike in this or challenging someone to a race. Plus, that color is stunning on her.
Another versatile piece, that blazer could go with so many other clothing items. She styled the overall look with a black purse, a black belt and black shoes… three more staples that were good to have around, for sure.
Leather Jacket
Up next is yet another fabulous leather jacket. This looks like the perfect one, with just the right amount of hardware and a soft and comfy fit. There is, of course, a white shirt underneath, which is casual yet cute, and there is another choker since she did have a thing for styles from the ’90s.
These three simple pieces came together on Emily for a wow outfit… one she recreated several times and always in a fresh and fab way.
Leather Skirt
At the end of the series, Emily wore one of her signature graphic tees (this one with a nod to her old home, it seems). While she could have worn jeans or perhaps some denim shorts with a plaid shirt around her waist, she went for something even better.
This leather skirt could be dressed up or down, but on Emily, it has that cool-girl/Sporty Spice vibe again. The zippers make it an even more amazing piece.
Jersey With Leather Shorts
It has been established that Emily had leather jackets, skirts and details, but she also had leather shorts, which she styled in an iconic way. See, another go-to choice for Emily would be jersey-style tops. She was an athlete, so these were perfect.
This one had a floral print on it, since, as mentioned, her clothes were never boring. And guess what she paired it with? It was another terrific outer layer, of course.
Jersey With Bomber Jacket
On a similar note, there was a more basic jersey, which she wore with just a pair of jeans. The cherry on top, though, was a jacket. It had leather sleeves, and some may say that is too much leather in one closet, but it worked for her, as she had a toughness and strength to her.
It was also a bomber style, which is sporty and easy and chic and cool in all the right ways. Just look at those stripes on the sleeves and the bottom hem… We love it!
Prom Dress
Perhaps the best fashion moment of the entire series happened at the fairytale-themed prom. These four gowns represent these four characters so well: Spencer looks refined, Aria looks spunky, Hanna looks glamorous, and Emily is wearing what the coolest Disney villain would wear!
There is a spiky black crown on her head. There is a black bodice with exaggerated shoulders and a mesh-like insert (for even more drama). And the bottom of this item kind of looks like a patchwork quilt… but a really awesome one that is so Emily.
